Programme for winter 2009 / 2010
We look forward to welcoming everyone to our evenings of dancing. We
are a friendly group of mixed ability, all dances are walked through
first, so do come along and have a go. Most evenings there is a
workshop for beginners at 7.30pm, but please phone to check.
December 9th. (until 11pm) We are having an early Christmas Party this year. 'Musical Folk' and club callers will get us dancing. Talented club members will entertain us between dances. Everyone is asked to bring a plate of food to share during the interval.
There will then be a three week break until December 30th.
December 30th. 'Bees Knees' are visiting us again on this last dance session of the year. Club caller Marj Hendy will lead us in a wide variety of dances.
January 13th 2010. When 'Musical Folk' played for us in November there were 15 musicians on the stage! We are looking forward to dancing to their music again. Club caller Lionel Parkhouse will be calling with them again provided he can find space to stand on the stage!
January 27th. Dee Chapman is travelling from Stratford-on-Avon once again to call for us. We always enjoy her choice of dances. Club band Kan'co will be the musicians.
February 10th. Another well-known visitor from Warwickshire will be making his way down the M5. David Bradley is coming to play for us again and Pete Hendy (our chairman and a club caller) will be choosing the dances.
February 24th. Marj Hendy is calling for us again, with club band 'Just Us' providing the music. In the interval there will be a raffle to benefit the English Folk Dance and Song Society, to which our club is affiliated.
